Regency painted centre table (1820) End support with folio compartment and key. A bronze moulded edge engraved with the Greek key pattern around the whole table. Exceptional X support ends, fluted and tapered on very nicely drawn legs. A turned stretcher unites the ends with original brass castors. The floral and botanical theme of the painted table top panel is all onto a dark background, really emphasising the rich beautiful colours of the flower petals and leaves. Surrounding the paintings is a frieze of green and gilt foliage in a repeat design. With more gilt around the apron of the table, this piece is an extremely high-quality example of its kind. £POA
